Resurrection Sunday, April 4, 2010 Easter is so much more than baked ham and chocolate bunnies. Beaverton Grace Bible Church is celebrating the historic fact and present reality that “God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16). God the Son, born of the virgin Mary, stepped into the world He Himself created, in order to die on the cross… to save sinners. That is what Easter is all about!
Don’t miss out on this celebration of God’s amazing love toward sinful mankind! The Lord has not sat idly in Heaven waiting for the day when He will judge sinners. Instead, “God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8). WHAT SHOULD YOU DO ABOUT EASTER? TURN away from your sin and repent! LOOK unto the Lord Jesus Christ and confess Him as your personal Lord and Savior. BELIEVE that He died on the cross, to pay the penalty of your sin, and rose again on the third day conquering sin and death. GO worship Him in a local Bible-believing church! GO serve Him by loving your fellow man! GO tell others about Him and what He has done to save them from their sins! READ the Bible (start in the Gospel of John) and learn about the Savior! Focus your Easter on the Lord Jesus Christ.
